Rare WW2 German Army / 1st Pattern Railways Officers Dagger by Robert Klaas with Painted Black Grip, fine example of a standard German army officers dagger which has a white painted black celluloid grip. Pommel with oakleaves and cross guard in the form of army eagle. Housed in a original scabbard with the Klaas stars to the edge of the scabbard ring mounts. Double edged blade with the makers trademark to the reverse. The blade measures 25 ½ cms, overall 40 ½ cms. Robert Klaas appears to have produced a run of Army and Luftwaffe officers daggers with black celluloid grips which were painted white like this example.

The Order of St John, Commander neck badge, with bestowal document to Edward George Lawrence Esquire, dated 9th May 1979. Bestowal document dated 28th August 1969 to Edward George Lawrance for the Grand Maitre de l’Ordre de la Milice du Saint Sepulcre Protectorate Byzantin (Grand Officer grade), with neck order and Breast Star. Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, neck badge, maker marked to reverse, Toye Kenning & Spencer. Royal House of Aragon Military Order of the Collar of Saint Agatha of Paterno, breast star. With set of Spink court mounted miniatures medals and other items.

American Civil War Period Union Militia Frock Coat, M-1851, is a dark blue wool w/ an 8-button (brass eagle) front, the 1 3/4′ collar & cuffs are trimmed in cording, faded from blue, this is shorter style frock w/ a partial white wool lining on top & a partial black polished cotton bottom, the wool has a few stamps I can’t make out, rear has 2 black painted iron belt ramps, overall.

WW2 German Army Officers Dress Dagger by Alcoso, Solingen, interesting example which has been fitted with a black celluloid grip, only normally associated with the maker Robert Klaas, pommel top and high lift aluminium cross guard. Attached to the grip is officers bullion portepee / knot. Housed in its original scabbard with two hanging rings. Double edged blade with the makers trademark to the reverse. The blade measures 25cms, overall 40cms. Some wear but generally a good example.

Scarce Victorian Highland Borderers Light Infantry Militia Plaid Brooch, being a plated large circular plaid brooch with hollow centre, engraved decoration to the obverse, with applied circlet having ‘HIGHLAND BORDERERS’, with remains of a gilt wash to this. Reverse with a large pin and catch fitting. The Highland Borderers Light Infantry Militia (Stirling, Dumbarton, Clackmannan & Kinross) became 3rd Bn. Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders on Friday 1st July 1881.

Victorian Boer War Campaign Medal Pair to the Royal Army Medical Corps, Queens South Africa medal with 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill and Wittebergen, impressed naming, ‘6770 PTE. W. BUNFIELD R.A.M.C.’, Kings South Africa medal with 2 clasps, South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902, ‘6770 PTE. W. BUNFIELD R.A.M.C.’ illiam Bunfield, a 19-year-old labourer from Swaffham, Norfolk, attested for service on 15th June 1885. He served for a total of 16 years and 353 days before his discharge on termination of his engagement on 2nd June 1902. He served in South Africa from 8th February 1900 to 28th May 1902 with the rest of his service being at home. Both medals and all clasps are confirmed on the rolls with the Queens medal being on the roll of the 20th Bearer Company, Royal Army Medical Corps.
